In the film 28 Days Later we see that fire is not an effective way to stop a zombie.[/caption] A number of resources discussing weapons for use during an apocalypse mention Molotov cocktails and I’ve even seen them mentioned in a number of zombie forums as well. For those that don't know, a Molotov cocktail is flammable liquid like alcohol or gasoline in a glass container (usually the bottle the alcohol came in) with a rag stuffed in the opening. The rag is lit and the whole thing is tossed. Impact with a hard surface breaks the glass and sets...

Michonne from AMC's The Walking Dead used "pet" zombies as a sort of camouflage. Keeping the undead as pets has real risks, however.[/caption] I understand where this question comes from. Most recently seen in AMC's The Walking Dead, we see people using zombies as a sort of camouflage to move around in zombie-infested areas. But we can go back to the films Shaun of the Dead and Fido as earlier examples of people “training” zombies to serve some purpose. And even now, in a zombie free world, we see people who like pets that bring a certain amount of danger...

This is a good question for potential zombie hunters to consider and the representations presented in pop culture tend to vary quite a bit. In show's like AMC's The Walking Dead, the skulls of walkers seem to be pretty soft with characters crushing them at will with seemingly no difficulty. But how accurate is that? The truth is, skull strength will vary from zombie to zombie and could be dependent in large part on the age and health of the person who became the zombie. In young children the skull is relatively soft as the bones of the skull have...

I believe, however, there are several factors that would make the opposite more likely. The first is that humans, on average, do not have all that great of eye sight. Approximately 75 percent of adults in the United States use some sort of vision correction, either glasses or contact lenses. Another one half...

[caption id="attachment_738" align="alignleft" width="300"] Characters from AMC's The Walking Dead examine the stomach contents of a zombie. If zombies eat, then the food must pass through them in some manner.[/caption] I'm not sure why this question comes up as frequently as it does, but it's something that seems to be on the minds of many zombie fans. From a theoretical standpoint, I'd have to say that yes, they probably do. This is especially true if the zombies are the kind that ravenously feed on human flesh. If the flesh goes in, something would have to come out or the zombie...
